Holiday Inn Brooklyn Downtown by IHG

The stay was exactly what was to be expected. Not saying that in a negative way either. It’s a 3.5 star hotel (on their own website) and that’s the exact type of hotel you get. Rooms were clean, staff were helpful and nice and we had zero issues. It seems that most people have negative reviews based on things happening before they even got to the rooms. Again don’t expect the Ritz, but it’s also not a hovel as some people are making it out to be.

This is a solid three star hotel. It’s great if you go in with those expectations. It’s a bit rundown and there is a strong chemical smell in the lobby. The staff if kind and helpful. The elevators are fast. My room was clean and I throughly inspected for bugs and found none.

Fantastic location near Brooklyn LIU. The staff were extremely accommodating and very welcoming. I would recommend staying here and will be in the future. Thank you to all the staff who made it a great place to stay. Having a laundry downstairs was also such a benefit!

Serviceable. Price isn't bad for the location. Fridge in room, though kind of hidden and I didn't find it until today lol!! . Dim lighting in the room and the ice machines not always functional. But the bed is big and very comfortable. I could hear city sounds...rumble of the subway, sirens...but muted; nice and quiet and I slept well.

I Did NOT appreciate the drain portion for the shower.... wet the entire floor.... aside from this.... I enjoyed myself..... Exactly a week later.... Returned to a better room... No washcloths again....requested them the evening before, with front desk and customer service because we couldn't utilize the phone in the suite.... I'm sure they'll give them now since we've left. Underwhelming Service

Loved this hotel very much. Its location is conveniently located in Brooklyn to see the sites and/more....by walking, or public transportation. The rooms were nice, cozy, and extremely clean. We asked for fresh towels at the front desk, and house keeping cleaned the entire room. Beds were extremely comfortable. The employees were very helpful and professional. The Grand Canyon Restaurant connected to the hotel had the best food ever. Huge menu too. I gave them a 5 star review. The parking is expensive...but that's New York for you. I will definitely stay here again.

Was a very nice clean quiet hotel room with a view of the verranzano if you book the bridge view room. There was also a pool, hottub and a sauna both dry and mist . There is also a very nice lounge in the lobby and a restaruant all part of the hotel. Go check it out definitely worth your time .

My mother stayed here for a couple of weeks; as I live nearby. It's a completely decent hotel. Yes, it's a little dated; yes, the armchair in the room is a little worn; yes, the swimming pool area is a little dingy; and yes, this is an affordable place so your fellow guests are typically not professors, doctors or celebrities. But it is warm and clean. The room has everything you need. The bathroom is bright and clean. The staff is nice and helpful. There's plenty going on so it feels like "home" when you come in. It has a swimming pool, which the fancy "Ace" down the street doesn't offer. And my gosh, it is affordable. I was very happy we chose this hotel.
